I seem to be strugling with reports. One client seems okay... however all other clients will not run reports.

Everytime - every configuration "any project" "any user" "pivot" workload etc...

I run report and get the warning "empty report, Log more work!"

Any advice? Am I doing something wrong?

Maybe you don't have reporting access to those projects/clients?

I'm also have this problem. Running on CentOS with 1 client with full admin privileges and recent version of CIT. Any report I run comes back with this message. Any steps on where to begin to troubleshoot?

Admin rights doesn't give you individual project access, it just lets you give yourself the permissions if you need them. Automatically including admins in all projects is a no-go as they'd end up with hundreds of projects they don't neccesarily want or need displayed all the time.

So, edit your admin user, and give him/her access to the neccesary projects.

Well when I say admin - I really mean project creator. And maybe this is a problem with me not fully understanding how to use the reports. I have a couple of projects which I created and added users to. I then assigned tasks to each one of those users. I would like to run a weekly report that should all open tasks across all projects I created and own. I am selecting a report type of Workload and rows by tasks and columns Date for Any Client and Any Project and Any User. Am I doing anything wrong?

Well, what date range are you running the report against? And are people actually logging work in the projects you have access to? What does your recent activities / timeline look like? Do they include any work-log entries?

I think you hit the nail on the head. For the report listed above I did not have any WorkedEstimate filled in. So is it possible to just run a report of all open tasks across all projects that the project creator owns on a scheduled basis?

    Still no reports for me.

    My story is:

    I am the only administrator.
I create the client - project and all the taks - I do create other users (clients) as I like them to see me as their project progresses (plus sometimes I give them deliverables).

I created the site. (me as the administrtor)
    I create a client
    I eventually created client A.
    I create a project.
    I create a task.
Task is open (I may close it directly)
Task is open (I may move it to active) - then I close
Task is open (I may set to won't fix) - then I close

Business as usual - hundres of taks open and closed.

Any report - any configuration - I run on Client A - it comes up "empty".

    Am I doing something wrong?

Are you logging time by clicking the clock icons?

No I am not - Most of my work is flat rate. Am I forced to use the clock?

Most of the reports are based around the concept of logged time, so unless you're doing that the reports won't really be useful. You can still use the rest of the application though. :-)
