I know you can associate a project with a client? How clients are used otherwise? Clients cannot have users (they cannot log in), right? I thought that they might be able to log in under some special (maybe view only way) and that's why the "Client" link is next to the "Users" link in the menu, but I guess I was wrong...

What are "Client CSS" and how they are used?

    Thank you!

Clients are currently mostly a way to group projects for reporting and browsing, but the plan has always been to offer some specialized branded interface where they can log in and see your progress in real-time. I've just never gotten around to it, as I've wanted to make sure your interface and functionality is all it needs to be first.

In an earlier version, you set a context by selecting a project and the client CSS was then used to brand the interface so you saw quickly which client / project you had selected. It was also intended as a way to let you personalize the interface for the planned client logins with custom colors / logos, etc.

At the moment, it's not used at all, but one idea is to use it for branding the reports you print for a client, or let you override the way tasks look if they're assigned to that client. (So, tasks belonging to client Acme will have a yellow background, while those belonging to client Foobar has a blue color for example)

Clients will be more usable with a list of contacts, emails, information, messages, logins, etc. later on.

how is the roadmap developing here?
it would be great to see your ideas realized.
in addition a client database, addressbook like feature would be very much appreciated.
    i'm sure there is a lot of enhancement planned . . .
just curious to know about the state of development.

Still not sure when it'll come, as my grand plans were interrupted for some weeks due to having a baby. But things have settled down again, and I've got some energy and time to put into ClockingIT again, so expect to see lots of great changes in the coming weeks.

I've started creating a small roadmap at http://wiki.clockingit.com/wiki:roadmap - feel free to help out, especially on the custom task types and properties examples so I know what I need to support.

Not really, unfortunately. More pressing things keep popping up, and Real Life keeps coming in the way.
