We would really like to use ClockingIT for our company. However, we'd also like to keep the data on our server, if at all possible. Would you recommend running ClockingIT on our own server for a production environment?
If not, if we use your hosted install at www.clockingit.com, is there some way in the future that we might be able to migrate our data (export/import) to our own server?
It's quite possible to run it on your own server, as long as you have a unix box to install it on.
There will be a data export/import sometime in the future, yes. Both for scenarios where you want to move from the hosted version to a private one, and to give people peace of mind when it comes to backups.
What a wonderful product! I'm sure you hear that all the time, but clocking IT seems to have everything I need in a project management tool. I was just wondering if the data export import feature has been implemented yet or if it is still a planned update in the future. I would like to hit the ground running with your generous hosted solution but eventually move in to my own environment to take the load off your servers/bandwidth/storage. Thanks again!
